Introduced to fine cocktails by the incomparable Alberta at San Francisco’s Orbit Room in the ’90s, Wayne has relished each advance in cocktailery, taking delight in the bars that have opened up, the new ingredients available, and the revived recipes of ancient days. Along with making his own concoctions at home, he keeps up with the San Francisco bar scene and seeks out fine cocktail bars in other cities around the world. His working mandate: Alcoholism is no excuse for poor journalism.
